MEDITATION CLASSES BEGIN NEXT WEEK!
Are you ready for some deep breathing? Relaxation? Finding your peace? Centering yourself and surrounding yourself with like minded people? Well then it’s perfect timing because meditation classes start in August!! Come and enjoy yourself in a safe and quiet environment to regain your inner knowing and inner peace from a busy and hot summer.
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR HOME ENVIRONMENT ENERGY!
Have you ever wondered why your animal is acting out? Suddenly moping around your home? Unexplained outburst of energy or even depression? Do a “self-check” of your home environment and energy!! What kind of energy are your animals living in? Are there a lot of volatile outbursts of anger or any emotion between you and your family members? Is it a quiet environment? Are YOU depressed, angry, sad, sick and unhappy? Well, then your chances of your animals feeling the same way are very high! Our animal friends are extremely sensitive to our energies and our home environment’s energy. Whether you’ve had an argument today, yesterday or weeks ago, that energy still lingers in the home. Anything that feels disruptive in our energy field especially on an emotional level strongly affects our animals!!
A very simple example of that would be spring cleaning. After several months of your home being closed up, windows sealed, doors quickly opened and closed through the winter months can take a quiet tool on us. That’s why the first sign of warm weather we open our windows and doors, clean and dust, and let all that stagnant air out from the winter months. We might even purchase some fresh flowers from the market to add not only the color but the summer arome of fresh flowers in our home. Our animals live with us 24/7 in “our” energy all year round. How would that feel if you were them? Not many of us are well balanced in our emotional areas and we are very human, which is normal. But, it’s what we do after the fact about it to make sure we cleanse ourselves and our animals.
That’s why it’s up to you to be completely responsible for the energy of which your animal lives in! It may be causing them emotional upsets and even physical ailments from the energy they’ve been stuck in and unable to release. We, as humans, can pick up the phone to call someone to vent, go for a walk, slam a door, cry, take a drive in our car to release our emotions but our animal friends unfortunatley get stuck in our energetic chaos. They can still go for a walk or ground themselves outdoors to the earth but for the majority of the time they get stuck in our energetic mess.
Here are some ways to assist you in “clearing and cleaning” up our home environment for us all:
1. Smudging (sage)
2. Burning special cleansing incense and oils (White Angelica)
3. Holy water
4. Energy work
5. Pure Intention
After an argument, moving, emotional outburst, death, a new addition, anything that would change the energy of your environment in a negative way, I would immediately bring out the incense or sage and do a cleansing of some sort. I am still learning and remembering to do my part and my animals continually help and remind to do so. so next time, be more mindful of what you and your other family members are creating in your home environment! Your animal friends will thank you and the benefits will be enormous!
Keeping your animals safe during the holiday season!
With all the holiday rush and traffic coming and going from your house may sometimes get too chaotic and you may forgot or overlook your animal friends needs and safety. Here are some helpful hints to keep your animals out of harms way and content until the holiday season ends.
1) Food
To avoid any unwanted emergency trips to the vet or ER.
Pets cannot discern foods that are good for them and aren’t. Remember to keep chocolate, coffee, tea, and other caffeinated food and drinks away from them. ( Any gifts that are wrapped up under the tree can be tempting to our furry friends so please keep them at a safe distance and level not accessible to animals.) These items can cause seizures, coma, and even death. Just as with humans, dogs should not have excessive sugar in their diets. You may offer your dogs these human goodies: vegetables, lettuce, yams and carrots. Cooked turkey, chicken, lamb, beef and white fish are okay.
2) Decorations
Make sure foil decorations are high enough that your pet can’t reach them. All ornaments with wires or hooks also should be placed away from your pet’s reach. Place ornaments higher up the treewill help dissolve temptation. Ribbons, yarns, strings, and other supplies used in gift wrapping should be off limits, too. Give your animal their own holiday toy to keep them happy & distracted.
3) Plants to avoid
Mistletoe, poinsettias, holly berries, jerusalem cherry, holiday cactus and ivy can be poisonous.
4) Guests
A home full of loving and noisy guests, particularly young ones, can be frightening to an animal. Create a quiet area for your animals to be away from all the hustle and bustle, particularly if your animal friend normally spends all day home alone. You can baby gate a room and move their bed from the living room or kitchen to an out-of-the-way bathroom or bedroom (not the one with all the guests’ coats thrown over the bed) and diffuse a calming essential oil. Even if your animal is guest-friendly, your guests may not be. Or the animal is overwhelmed and needs some down time.
5) Travel
Traveling, particularly long distances in a car, can be very stressful to you and your animals. Make sure your animal is secure in a purpose-built well-ventilated cage or a pet safety harness. You can also bring along a blanket that has the scent from home on it and an essential oil to help calm your animal for added comfort. Bring bottled or filtered water from home so your animal doesn’t have to deal with strange water that might result in an intestinal upset. And last, make sure your animals have up-to-date identification with your cell phone numbers on the tags in case they wander away or escape in unfamiliar territory.
If you’re leaving your animals with a sitter it’s best to write down the place your going with their address, information and phone number in case of emergency. Have your animals vet, a family or friend emergency contact information, in case they can’t reach you. Giving your sitter proper information and daily routine schedule so your animal friend isn’t being too overwhelmed with too much change at once.
Being a Professional Animal Communicator I strongly urge animal owners to fully communicate to their animal friends where they’re going, when they’ll be returning, who will be watching them etc… just as you would a child or another family member who is unable to travel with you. By communicating this your animal will be aware of what’s going on and may decrease any unwanted behavior or accident to occur while you’re away. It works very well!! Try it at home yourself or contact me and I will be very happy to assist any way I am able.
6) Quality Time
Take the time out of the day or evening to just spend with your animal companion, which means turning off the TV and being “present” with them. Sit on the floor, play with your animals favorite toy, pet them and dote on them. Even if you have to set a timer for 15-20 minutes so you can stay on track with the holiday festivities. It’s important to make time for your animal friends so they don’t feel left out which can cause behavior problems and can prevent them from getting into any trouble. Also, take time for yourself to meditate, breathe, and relax through this holiday season.
Blessing and abundance through this holiday season!
With love,
Stacy
