Back to school affects your animals too

As our children go back to school or away to school it’s very important to share the details with your furry family. Share the how the schedules will be changing, the comings and goings, if they’ll only see their humans on weekends or the holidays etc…

That will help from a lot of the unnecessary stress and frustrations the animals go through with their humans leaving the house.

Will it affect their feeding schedules?  Seeing their humans? Disrupt their overall schedules?  How will the energy of the house be?  Will YOU feel relieved that they’re gone to school or sad and depressed becuase THAT effects the animals, even animals that are in barns and off site etc…

By Simple and effective communication a lot of problems can be prevented AND resolved just by communicating with them how it may look and affect them down the road.

Here are a few quick, easy tips:

  • The time frames the kids are in school.
  • Where you will be before, during and after school.
  • Meal times, home or away at restaurants.
  • Sleep schedules.

ANYTHING that may look or feel different to your animal friends.  If you need to, get down on the floor on all fours and look from the animals perspective. Or imagine what your bird may see or feel?  Or your horse friend outside on your land or away at the barn, how will that affect them?

If you need more help please feel free to contact me and we can do a quick tune up for the new schedules coming up!
